The winds of change are coming. It will not be pleasant. The warning signs have come and gone. New ones are being established. Now Greece is another of the signs. Watch out, the false prophet will raise his ugly heard. The Lord is coming with all this that is happening. Whatever man mocks, God will see and judge. Whatever man sows that he will reap. ~Y. Dinah and the Shechemites
Dinah, the daughter of Leah born to Jacob, went to visit the women of the land.
Dinah was raped by Shechem son of Hamor the Hivite, ruler of that area.
Shechem said to his father Hamor, “Get me this girl for my wife.”
Jacob heard Dinah was defiled and waited for his sons to come home.
Jacob’s sons heard of their sister’s defilement and were furious with Schechem.
Jacob’s sons spoke deceitfully to Shechem and his father Hamor.
Jacob’s sons said we can’t give our sister to a man who is uncircumcised; it is a disgrace.
Jacob’s sons said you must circumcise all your males.
We will then give you our daughters and take your daughters for ourselves.
We will become one people; otherwise, we will take our sister.
Shechem went to the gate of the city and spoke to all the males to be circumcised who agreed.
Three days later all the men were in pain, two of Jacob’s sons, Simeon and Levi took swords.
These two brothers killed all of the men in the city including Shechem’s house and left.
Jacob’s sons seized their flocks and all their possessions; their women and children.
Jacob responded to his sons, you make me a target of the Canaanites and Perizzites.
These people will attack me and our household destroyed.
Jacob’s sons answered, “Should we have treated our sister like a prostitute?”
